We strive to be WCAG 2.1 AA compliant across the content of all of our products, as well as creating tools within our product that encourage the creation of accessible content. This means that we are continuously improving accessibility as an ongoing effort to strive for compliance and improve usability.

Following the release of WCAG 2.2 in October 2023, our Accessibility Conformance Report (ACR) for Totara 19 onwards will include an assessment against WCAG 2.2.

Accessibility Conformance Reports

With every major release we provide an Accessibility Conformance Report (ACR) based on the Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT). This is a report which outlines our understanding of each success criterion for WCAG 2.1 guideline standards A and AA, details on the areas where we support the various criteria, as well as outlining the evaluation methods used. Totara 13 Learn, Perform and Engage support the vast majority of Success Criteria at level A and AA. The  The areas that partially support a success criterion will provide a clear description of the implementation, how it impacts users, the extent to which it impacts users and the short- and/or long-term plan to improve this area. As a continuous effort to improve accessibility, the ACR for every major release will be updated according to any improvements that are made during any relative minor release.
